Motherhood
I have been lucky enough in my lifetime to see a beautiful display of what motherhood means & what it looks like. Motherhood, through my lens, is much much more than what transpires during the process of giving birth; Motherhood is what happens after. It's the connection between a mother and her child; The unconditional love, even on the hard messy days. It's the hours and hours of time spent making lunches, potty training, snuggles, and hard talks.
I am not a mother *yet*; just give me six more weeks! But I know what motherhood looks like. I am a daughter of a mom who loved unconditionally, was never too busy to talk, and would hold me when I cried. Even at 25, she still does.
I could talk a lot about the way my own mom displayed motherhood in my life, but I also want to talk about another woman in my life that does. I was able to do a little Mini-Motherhood Session with my Sister-in-Law, Chrystal. Going through this session brought tears to my eyes because you can tell how much she loves being a mother; how much she loves her kids. She displays patience & unconditional love through tantrums and hard days. After shooting, we were just sitting there drinking our coffee while she talked about how blessed she felt to be a part of their lives.
I hope to be a mama like that.
